Woman attacked by masked man in her own home

A woman was attacked in her own home by a masked man.

The victim suffered minor injuries in the assault in Bridgewater Drive, Coseley

The suspect, who police said was wearing dark clothing and a face covering, made a quick search of the home but exited without stealing anything.

An investigation has been launched by West Midlands Police in a bid to trace the man.

After the incident around 7am on Monday the attacker is believed to have left through the back garden and headed in the direction of the canal.

Officers are currently searching CCTV for clues.
