Officers discovered the drugs den in Springfield Road, Halesowen in the early hours of yesterday morning.

West Midlands police said officers from the town were carrying out local inquiries when they found six rooms in the property were being used to cultivate cannabis.

A total of 836 plants - worth a £418,000 - were found in the building.

However, the force said last night that no one had been arrested in connection with the find.

West Midlands Police Cannabis Disposal Team tweeted: "The electricity had been abstracted illegally which required extensive work to make the house safe. No arrests made at this stage."
