IN PICTURES: Fantastic Inflatable World comes to Wolverhampton
Hundreds of children have been bouncing for joy at a new inflatable theme park in the Black Country.
Fantastic Inflatable World is putting on the show in Wolverhampton, claiming it is the first of its kind in the country.
Boss Scott Gwinnett is keeping his fingers crossed that the weather is kind for the impressive inflatable display, which ranges from massive slides and ring rides to bouncing castles and paddling pools.
There are also cartoon characters mingling with the visitors along with football, basketball and paintball games together with face painting in a fenced-off section of land in the grounds alongside Bantock House.
Mr Gwinnett said: "It is the first time in this country that anybody has put on a show like this.
"After the entrance fee all the rides are free. The aim is to give a family a whole day out for around £20.
"It is a calculated gamble and the weather will play a part in deciding if it is a winner."
Gavin Warrington, 34, from Hardy Square, Parkfields, was there with wife Emma and children Key, 12 and six year old Freya.
He said: "It is really good for the kids. They have had a really good time."
Charlotte Downs, aged three and family friend Gavin Robinson, who was there with wife Karen and daughter Sophie, both had their faces painted.
Melissa Downs, from Lime Street, Coseley and mother of Charlotte and Elizabeth, declared: "The children have loved it. There is space for them to have the freedom to run around. They should all sleep soundly tonight."
Teacher Stephen Porter, 37, from Marine Crescent, Stourbridge careered down the ring ride with son James aged four and declared: "It is a great day out. The value for money is fantastic. It is safe and secure and there are loads of things for the kids to do. I am really impressed."
Lindsay Williams, 29, of Oxford Street, Bilston who was there with children Chelsea and eight-year-old Daniel Steadman, said: "We have had a great time."
Jemma Concliffe, 36 from Waterside Way, Pendeford watched son Isaac happily splashing in one of the paddling pools, commented: "The water and the slides is a perfect combination. He loves it and luckily I have got a spare set of clothes to take him home in."
The Inflatable World Theme Park is open daily from 10am to 6pm until August 2. It will then be at Longford Park, Cannock from August 19 to 27.
