The nation fell silent at noon, a week after 38 people were gunned down by 23-year-old student Seifeddine Rezgui at the beach resort of Sousse.

The victims include three members of the same family, Walsall FC supporters, Joel Richards, Adrian Evans and Patrick Evans.

At the Saddlers today, the entire squad, manager Dean Smith and club staff and officials took part in the silence outside the main reception at the Banks's Stadium.

Sandwell Council workers were observed the minute's silence outside the council house at the fountains off Freeth Street. They were remembering their colleague Adrian, who lived in Bilston and had worked in the council's gas department since 1983.

In Wolverhampton, the council was also taking part in the silence and the flags were flying at half mast at the Civic Centre.
