Time nearly up for Movember
It is the charity movement that has seen men all over the world shun their razors for a month – all in the name of mens' health.
The Movember craze started in Australia back in 1999 and since then the campaign has grown in momentum and spread across the globe.
As we move towards the end of Movember, the effects of 22 days without shaving can now easily be seen – and participants are now getting creative with their 'mo'.
Sporting superstars are among those to lend their support this year, including England scrum-half Ben Foden, who has pushed the boat out with his half beard- half moustache hybrid, known as the monkeys tail.Former England footballer Michael Owen has been a long time supporter of the cause, with the normally fresh faced 34 year old reprising his handlebar moustache this year in is new role as a pundit for BT Sport.
Olympian Greg Rutherford MBE, who won gold in long jump at the 2012 London Olympics and 2014 Commonwealth Games, has gone for a classic top lip moustache.
Staff at a local engineering team have also got into the spirit, growing a variety of facial hair styles between them.
Eleanor Russon, sales and marketing manager at Jenks and Cattell Ltd, Wolverhampton, said: "Its great that a group of our staff have got involved with Movember.
"Last year we had a few taking part but there is a team spirit here that makes it all the more fun.
"We are hoping to raise £500 so our volunteers are doing their best to get as many donations as possible."
Also growing a Mo for a good cause is firefighter Matthew Phillips, from Wednesfield, who has gone for a handlebar moustache.
Since 2003 the Movember Community has raised around £350 million, funding 800 programmes in 21 countries.
During Movember, Facebook and Twitter feeds become overrun with pictures of 'Mo's' and donation requests, while a quick flick through the television channels will showcase a quirky range of facial hair stylings from normally clean shaven celebrities.
All money raised goes towards men affected by prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health problems.
