Woman dies after falling in canal in Stourport
A woman has died after falling in a canal late at night in Stourport whilst a second woman was also injured, police have said.
West Mercia Police said officers received a report a woman had fallen in the spot near York Street at around 11pm on Tuesday.
A 50-year-old woman, from Stourport, was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital but died. Her death is not being treated as suspicious.
Meanwhile a second woman had injuries "not thought to be serious".
The force's North Worcestershire Police branch attended the incident, alongside West Midlands Ambulance Service and Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service.
