Man hit by lorry on busy Stourport road dies
A man has died from his injuries after being hit by a lorry in Stourport.
Emergency services rushed to Worcester Road, near the Four Acres Caravan Park, at around 7am on Thursday.
Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford – with a doctor on board – were sent to the scene.
Staff tried treating the pedestrian, who suffered very "serious injuries", but were not able to save him.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "On arrival, ambulance staff, they found a man who had suffered very serious injuries.
"Ambulance staff carried out advanced clinical care on the pedestrian, but unfortunately it was not possible to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene."
No other patients were treated, the spokesman said.
