Woman taken to hospital after two-car crash at busy junction
A woman was taken to hospital after a two-car crash that saw a main road shut.
The collision involving two cars happened near the junction of the A449 Wolverhampton Road and Castle Road near Kidderminster at around 3.10pm, with North Worcestershire Police closing off the road around the scene.
A woman was treated at the scene by medics for injuries not thought to be serious before being taken to Russells Hall Hospital for further treatment.
A spokesman for North Worcestershire Police said: "Officers on scene at a collision between Wolverhampton Road and Castle Road near Kidderminster.
"The road is currently closed."
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of an RTC at the junction of Castle Road and Wolverhampton Road in Cookley near Kidderminster at 3.10pm.
"One ambulance was sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews discovered two cars had been involved in a collision.
"One woman was treated by medics for injuries not thought to be serious before being taken to Russells Hall Hospital for further treatment."
