Kidderminster man charged with breathing on police officers claiming he had Covid-19
A Kidderminster man has been charged after allegedly breathing into two police officer's faces claiming he had coronavirus.
The incident took place as Jason Baker was being arrested on suspicion of assault, which he has also been charged for.
The 48-year-old, from Kidderminster, is then said to have purposefully and forcibly breathed into the faces of the two officers after disclosing he had contracted Covid-19.
He has since been charged with two counts of common assault of an emergency worker, as well as assault.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "Baker appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates court on Tuesday morning, where he was remanded to again appear at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on April 28, and then at Worcester Crown Court on May 18."
