Body found after devastating house blaze
A body has been found in the search for a man who had not been seen since a devastating house blaze.
Emergency crews had been searching for the man since the fire destroyed his farm house near Bewdley on Monday evening.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service have now confirmed a body has been found.
The blaze ripped through the building in Cramer Gutter Lane, Oreton, from around 11.30pm and it took firefighters more than five hours to bring the flames under control.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said: "Emergency services remain at the scene, making the building safe."
Specialist urban search and rescue teams from Herefordshire have been on the scene looking for the man and the road near the house remains closed.
Police said the cause of the blaze was unknown but it is not currently being treated as suspicious.
The man’s next of kin has been notified.
