Special Olympians supported with donation
Former Goodyear workers have bought equipment for Wolverhampton Special Olympics in their latest generous donation.
The Special Olympics club, which is based at Woodfield Sports and Social Club in Penn, has had £4,187.15 donated.
The group has added a new table tennis ball returning machine, new bats and new kit – as well as a selection of other 'little items' according to a boss.
Jackie Silvester, Wolverhampton Special Olympics chairman, said: "We had a lovely evening and really appreciate the kindness of these men.
"I think they really enjoy giving to charities and it was wonderful that they thought of us and have supported us.
"The new kit was used at the weekend for the first time during a tournament in Bournemouth and it looks great."
