Wolverhampton road closed due to crash between car and van
A crash between a car and a van closed a road in Wolverhampton.
It happened near to Wednesfield Way and New Cross Avenue in Heath town. The road has since reopened with no serious injured reported.
A spokesman for West Midlands Roads said: "New Cross Avenue, Heath Town in Wolverhampton is closed due to a police incident."
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We were called at 7.15am to reports of a collision involving two vehicles near to Wednesfield Way. Ambulance in attendance. No serious injuries reported."
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at around 7.10am to reports of a crash on New Cross Avenue in Wednesfield, Wolverhampton.
"Two ambulances and a paramedic officer were sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews discovered a car and a van had been involved in a collision.
"A passenger of the car, a woman, was treated ambulance staff for minor injuries before being taken to New Cross Hospital for further treatment.
"An occupant of the van, a man, was assessed by medics but did not require hospital treatment and was discharged at the scene. There were no other patients."
