Crackdown on drug dealing in Wolverhampton estates

Police have launched a crack down on the dealing of class A drugs in residential areas of Wolverhampton.

The crackdown was revealed as part of the Low Hill, Fallings Park, Bushbury and Oxley Wolverhampton neighbourhood police team newsletter for May.

According to the newsletter: "The Oxley Neighbourhood Team continues to gather intelligence in relation to the distribution of cannabis and class 'A' drugs on the Dovecotes and Rakegate estates.

"During April 2017, the team have joined up with Staffordshire Police to tackle the issue of drug dealing in the area and we continue to take positive action against the people responsible."

Anyone that spots any instances of drug dealing in those areas are being urged to let the police know.

The Low Hill, Fallings Park, Bushbury and Oxley Wolverhampton neighbourhood police team said: "If you have any information regarding drug offences then please contact a member of the team or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
