Multi-million-pound health and wellbeing facility plans move step closer as planning application is submitted
Plans for a new multi-million-pound health and wellbeing facility in Wolverhampton have moved a step closer.
An outline planning application has been submitted by Wolverhampton Council to build the new Bilston health and wellbeing facility.
The scheme was approved at a meeting of full council in July.
It followed a public consultation on the designs for the proposed facility, with a series of events held at Bilston market, WV Active Bilston-Bert Williams leisure centre, Bilston Urban Village, local GP surgeries, health clinics and online.
Planners will now consider the proposal to develop the facility on the council-owned vacant site, adjacent to the WV Active Bilston-Bert Williams leisure centre and Bilston Urban Village medical centre.
