Factory roof damaged in fire at industrial estate
A fire broke on a Black Country industrial estate causing damage to a factory building.
The blaze happened in a building on the Perry Street Industrial Estate, Bilston, on Thursday morning.
The building was left charred inside and its roof was damaged.
No injuries were reported and it is unclear how the fire began.
A West Midlands Fire Service spokesman said: "Firefighters dealt with a fire in a factory unit involving a powder coating machine and a small part of the roof.
"We had several calls saying there were flames through the roof."
Fifteen firefighters on three fire engines attended the scene.
Crews used a hydraulic platform to tackle the flames and returned later to check for hot spots.
