TT Tours investigation ongoing after holidaymakers left stranded
An investigation into a Wolverhampton company which left holidaymakers stranded after coaches booked to take them away failed to turn up is still ongoing, the council has said.
About 300 people booked a trip to Torquay, run by Bilston company TT Tours, but were left waiting in the cold back in February.
The holiday would have seen people stay at the Headland Hotel or the Riviera Hotel for four nights.
People were initially told they would be given refunds from the company at its premises in Bilston Market the same week, but the owners failed to turn up and so Trading Standards set up in Bilston Town Hall to offer customers advice.
Trading Standards also changed the locks on the company's unit and seized evidence from it.
A Wolverhampton Council spokesman said: “We continue to investigate TT Tours. Working on this during the national pandemic has its challenges, but it is still very much an active case and work is ongoing.”
