Three fire crews have tackled a blaze involving an office unit, electric vehicle and shed between Wolverhampton and Bridgnorth.

The incident in Kingslow was reported at 9.21am today (Tuesday), when fire control received a call reporting a fire classified as 'property fire persons reported'. 

Soon after three fire appliances were mobilized from Albrighton and Telford Central, as well as operations and Hazmat officers who were in attendance. 

It involved one electric vehicle, one shed and an office unit on fire.

The fire was extinguished using two hose reel jets, one main jet and one light portable pumping unit whilst crews were wearing breathing apparatus. 

Crews are continuing to damp down the affected areas and temperatures of the electric vehicle battery are being monitored with a thermal imaging camera. 

Equipment being used to resolve the incident included breathing apparatus (BA), a hose reel jet, main jet, open water supply, portable pump and a thermal imaging camera.

The vehicle is being recovered by an electrical vehicle containment unit. All persons were accounted for and no casualties reported. 

A spokesperson for Staffordshire Fire and Rescue said: "At 09:21 on Tuesday, January, 14, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire Persons Reported in Wolverhampton.

"Three fire appliances were mobilised from Albrighton and Telford Central. Operations and Hazmat officers were in attendance.

"Incident involving one electric vehicle, one shed and an office unit on fire. 

"Fire was extinguished using two hose reel jets, one main jet and one light portable pumping unit whilst crews were wearing breathing apparatus. 

"Crews are continuing to damp down the affected areas and temperatures of the electric vehicle battery are being monitored with a thermal imaging camera. 

"Vehicle is being recovered by an electrical vehicle containment unit. All persons were accounted for and no casualties were reported.

"The stop message was received at Tue, 01/14/2025 - 10:56."
