While the tradition seems to cause chaos in the US, with videos of their customers fighting for the latest tech going viral every year, things are little tamer here in the UK.
The American tradition, which started as post-Thanksgiving Day sales but was adopted by British stores, returns to the UK on Friday (November 29).
Similar to the rest of the country, Wolverhampton residents will be scouting shops across the city in time for when the specialist sales day will commence, on Friday, November 29, which for most just so happens to be pay-day.
But the real questions is, is it as good people seem to say it is, or is it just another way for business owners to capitalise on the most expensive time of the year for families across the region - and the wider public?
Speaking to shoppers in Wolverhampton some were pretty adamant that the super saver event holds no bearing on whether or not they're going to buy something or not, and, in the the words of one local, is just a 'gimmick'.
But others said it's a welcome chance to save money on items they would need to buy anyway - and a great way to help boost profits for smaller independent companies who have been feeling the pinch in recent times as the cost of living continues to rise .
