Poor Teddy's owner took him to the vets to be put down because he wasn't toilet trained.

A vet contacted Wings and Paws Rescue in Wolverhampton after the owner took her dog, Teddy, to be put to sleep because he wasn't house trained - after having him for two years.

The rescue believes adorable little Teddy is perfectly healthy and fully vaccinated and neutered.

Although the rescue had no room for new animals, they took Teddy in a heartbeat, with a volunteer saying: "We could not let this little man die because his owner didn't take care of him."

The Yorkshire Terrier is now with a foster carer until he is ready to look for a permanent new home.
