Puppy dumped at Wolverhampton canal with 'leg ripped off' is 'fighting hard' for her survival
A puppy is "fighting hard" but is "not out of the woods" after she was dumped at three weeks old by a canal with her back leg "ripped off".
Sophia, a Cavachon breed, was brought to a Wolverhampton vet on June 7 by two people who claimed to have found her abandoned by a canal in the city.
Sarah Price, the founder of Dudley-based animal charity Ravens Rescue, was notified of the dog's condition and rushed her to Vets4Pets in Dudley Port for emergency treatment.
The pooch has had her first of many surgeries since the incident and is said by Sarah to be "recovering well".
