Four crews tackle Wolverhampton blaze

A fire in Wolverhampton caused multiple road closures on New Year's Day.

West Midlands Fire Service warned motorists to avoid the Horsley Fields area around 5.30pm on Saturday.

The service tweeted: "We currently have a large incident in the Horsley Fields area of Wolverhampton, with 4 fire engines in attendance.

"Please can we ask that you avoid the area as there are road closures in place."

The Willenhall Road was closed for several hours until fire officials deemed it safe.
