Golf day to raise funds for The Haven
Golfers will get into the swing to support a charity which supports vulnerable women and children.
The Haven Wolverhampton is set to host its first face-to-face event of the year with their charity golf day Staffordshire Golf Club on Friday, July 2.
Friends, colleagues and customers are being invited to take part in the fundraising event, which is sponosred by TRiM Barbershops.
The day will include a hot drink and breakfast bap upon arrival, before heading out on to the course for a 1pm start
Marcello Mongiovi, owner of TRiM Barbershops, said: "We are delighted to be main sponsor for this event for the fourth year running.
"It is going to be a great day and hopefully we will raise lots of money for this very worthwhile charity."
The day will include a hot drink and a breakfast bap upon arrival, before heading out on to the course for 1pm start and 18 holes of golf. There will also be the opportunity for a pre-game session with golfing hypnotist Steve Woods.
After a day on the course, there will be evening of entertainment in the club house including a two course meal, awards and a question and answer with legendary ex-Wolves and Manchester City player Steve Daley. All of this whilst doing something amazing for the Haven and helping to raise vital funds to enable services to continue to support vulnerable women and children after an incredibly difficult year.
Jade Secker, fuundraising manager at the Haven, said: “During the pandemic the Haven have seen a significant increase in demand for their services and so every penny raised from events like the golf day will have a significant impact on ensuring our vital services can continue.
"We are really excited for the day, and so grateful to everyone who has already signed up a team. We have lots of activities and giveaways planned for all of the golfers on the day.”
