Police investigating man's death in Wolverhampton
Police are investigating after a man died at a house in Wolverhampton in the early hours of this morning.
Emergency services were called to the property in Church Road, Oxley, shortly after 5am on Thursday to reports of a medical emergency.
Paramedics worked to save the 32-year-old man but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
His death is being treated as unexplained.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "We were alerted to reports of a man with serious injuries at a house in Church Road, Oxley at around 5.20am.
"Sadly the 32-year-old man was later pronounced dead. His death is being treated as unexplained and an investigation is underway."
A police car remained stationed outside the property throughout Thursday morning.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service added: "We were called to reports of a medical emergency at a property on Church Road at 5.06am on Thursday, two ambulances and a paramedic officer attended the scene.
"On arrival we discovered one patient, a man, who was in a critical condition.
"Ambulance staff administered advanced life support but sadly, despite their best efforts, it became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene."
