Pedestrian injured after collision with car in Wolverhampton

A pedestrian was taken to hospital after a collision with a car in Wolverhampton.

Emergency services were called to Chesterton Road, in Wolverhampton, shortly before 6am on Tuesday morning.

The pedestrian, a woman, was treated by paramedics before being taken to New Cross Hospital.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision at 5.49am on Tuesday, on Chesterton Road, Wolverhampton. An ambulance and paramedic officer attended.

"The pedestrian, a woman, was given treatment on scene before being taken to New Cross Hospital, in a stable condition, for further checks."

West Midlands Police has been approached for comment.
