Man taken to hospital after M6 crash
A man has been taken to hospital after a crash on the M6 near Wolverhampton today.
Emergency services were called to the motorway, between junctions 11 and 11a, at around 9.20am.
It is believed a car had left the northbound carriageway and collided with a barrier.
The driver of the vehicle, a man, was assessed by paramedics and taken to New Cross Hospital for further checks.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called at 9.17am on Friday to reports of a car which had left the northbound carriageway and collided with a barrier between 11 and 11a on the M6 in Wolverhampton.
"One ambulance attended and arrived to find the driver, a man, out of the vehicle.
"He was fully assessed on scene and was found to have no serious injuries. He was taken to New Cross Hospital for further checks."
