Judane Brown, 25, of Kingswood Gardens, in Penn, was acquitted over the manslaughter of Cameron Wilkinson at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Wednesday following a trial .

Mr Wilkinson died in Chadwick Close, in the Merry Hill area of the city, on February 19 last year after he suffered a traumatic brain injury.

The trial heard Mr Brown - who denied manslaughter - accepted throwing a punch which led to Mr Wilkinson's death.

But Mr Brown said he was acting in self defence following a heated row.

The trial heard Mr Wilkinson had suspicions that Mr Brown had been seeing his former girlfriend.

Tensions had been building between the pair in the weeks leading up to their meeting in Chadwick Close in 2019.

Mr Wilkinson's family paid tribute to him as a "funny, loving and caring person".
