Unique 'Sir Jack' Wolves lorry goes under the hammer for charity
A special piece of Wolves memorabilia is going up for auction to raise funds for a breast cancer charity.
A DAF tractor unit from logistics firm JJX Logistics from Kingswinford has been decorated in old gold and black as a tribute to Wolverhampton Wanderers and former club president Sir Jack Hayward.
The unit, which is called Sir Jack, is going up for auction to raise funds for charity Breast Cancer Now, with the auction being run by the Legacy4Lucy charity.
The charity, which was set up by Jason Guy after the death of his wife Lucy in 2015 aged 33 from breast cancer, has worked to raise funding for research into treating the disease.
The Sir Jack Wolves tractor unit has a reserve of £15,600, but every pound raised over that will go to Breast Cancer Now.
The auction is on September 18. Emily Hyde, social media and marketing manager at JJX, said the donation of the tractor unit was the company’s way of helping in a difficult time.
She said: “As we are unsure that we are going to be able to run an event to raise money this year, we thought that this was the next best thing.
"If you are a transport company or a bunch of Wolves fanatic friends wanting to own something that is truly one of a kind, then please take a look.”
