West Midlands Fire Service's longest serving firefighters called to same incident
The West Midlands Fire Service's two longest serving firefighters were called to the same incident.
A crew from Wolverhampton was called to a ring removal, but had to call for back up.
So another crew from Brierley Hill attended and officers in charge of both engines happened to be the two longest serving firefighters – with more than 81 years of experience between them.
Brierley Hill Fire Station tweeted saying: "Wolverhampton attended a ring removal today but due to the severity of the swelling crews from Brierley Hill were mobilised to provide additional equipment.
"Officers in charge on both trucks were the two longest serving employees of the brigade, over 81 years experience in this photo alone!"
