Aspiring actress Mylie Malcolm, from Wednesfield, has recorded a special message to people in the city in her favourite witches' costume.

The Wizard of Oz fan calls on residents to stay at home until the word gets back to normal – or she'll get you.

The younger said: "It is very important to stay at home because sharing is not caring if you make somebody very poorly.

"When the world is back to normal everybody can play with their friends again."

Mylie also helped teach her two-year-old brother, Travis, how to wash his hands properly to reduce the spread of the virus.

Mother Kirsty Evans said: "I am so proud of how Mylie is handling the whole situation and continues to bring joy to those around her.

"We really hope everyone can continue listening to Mylie’s and the Government's advice to help save lives."

Wolverhampton Council has praised the younger for sharing her message to keep people in the city safe.

Councillor Jasbir Jaspal, cabinet member for public health and wellbeing, said: "It's great that the Government's social distancing messages are getting across to people in Wolverhampton, young and old, and even more so that children are sharing them with their friends – please heed this advice, stay at home, protect the NHS and save lives."

It comes as children and staff at Northwood Park Primary School have created a music video about staying indoors, inspired by Disney's Frozen.

It features students sharing messages, along with teachers, to reinforce the Government's stay at home advice.
