The Mount Hotel hosted an array events across November and December to celebrate the festivities while raising much-needed funds for The Haven.

The hotel helped to raise £1,200 in aid of The Haven, which supports women who are vulnerable to domestic violence and homelessness.

Scott Bernard, director at the Mount Hotel, said: "The Mount Hotel was more than happy to support such a well needed and local charity with our Christmas events this year.

"We have worked with the Haven for a number of years and their work is invaluable in the city.”

Jade Secker, fundraising manager for The Haven, added: "For those recovering from the trauma of abuse, Christmas can be a dark and difficult time.

"Women staying at The Haven often worry about how they will buy gifts for their child, having fled abuse with nothing, and children can often feel sad that their Christmas looks very different to that of their classmates at school.

"With the incredible support of the Mount Hotel we can ensure Christmas is a special occasion for those we support and that they have the chance to enjoy the festivities the way they deserve to away from the fear of abuse.

"We cannot thank the Mount Hotel enough for their incredible support. Not only with this amazing donation but their ongoing care and support of the organisation.”
