EcoWulf, in Chapel Ash, Wolverhampton, held the event on Saturday which saw customers enjoy mince pies, mulled wine, a visit from Santa and a performance from a singer.

There was also a raffle to raise the £300 needed to buy and plant an EcoWulf tree.

By refilling their toiletries and cleaning products at EcoWulf since opening, customers have taken more than 1,400 bottles out of the waste stream.

Owner Angie Kijak-Davis said: "I wanted to thank all of my customers for their support since I opened in August.

"I had a bit of a party in the shop with a singer, mulled wine and Santa.

"Coming here they have to change their shopping habits quite drastically, plan better and remember their containers and bottles so I wanted to thank them for supporting me and their efforts towards the environment.

"It has been going really well since it opened, better than I expected.

"It has been a really really lovely atmosphere, really busy."
