Kiran ‘thrilled’ to report NBA clash
Actor and presenter Kiran Rai says he was “extremely thrilled” to be picked to report at the recent NBA London event.
Kiran, who lived in Dunstall Hill, Wolverhampton, prior to launching his acting career, was presenting his 101st major event, including his 30th major sport event, as the Washington Wizards took on the New York Knicks in the ninth regular season NBA game to be played in London.
The game was held on Thursday at the O2 Arena in Greenwich, in which the Wizards secured a 101-100 victory with just 0.4 seconds left.
Kiran said: “Being asked to report and meet the players before the game at the NBA was amazing.
“I was extremely thrilled and just couldn’t wait. It’s so great that it has come to London and I’m proud for my Asian community I am finally passing the gatekeepers.
“This will be my final event and then my next step is to crack the film industry in either LA or Mumbai.”
