They were donated to the Griffiths Drive shopping complex in Ashmore Park, Wolverhampton, as part of a bid to make the area prettier this summer.

Community volunteers planted the 25 plants in June, only for them to be dug up and stolen days later.

He is described as white and stocky and had a white Husky-type dog in tow.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who recognises him or has any information about the stolen plants.

Anyone with information can call West Midlands Police on 101.
