Wolverhampton councillor Andrew Johnson standing down after 34 years
A long-serving councillor will step down from his post after 34 years of service, it has been announced.

Wolverhampton council's current finance boss Andrew Johnson will not stand in the upcoming local elections.
Retired full-time trade union official Councillor Johnson has served the Ettingshall ward since 1984.
Beverley Momenabadi has been selected as Labour's candidate in his seat.
Councillor Johnson said: "I will be almost 63 by the time I go and would've had to sign up for another four years.
"So I felt it was the right time to hand over to a younger generation.
"Myself and my wife are hoping to retire properly now so that's the reason for it.
"It's been a great honour serving Wolverhampton and Ettingshall for so many years and I will miss that when I leave.
"But I do honestly think it's time to pass on to the next generation and younger councillors.
"I have been responsible for the council's finances for many years and and we are in a stable financial position, particularly compared to many other councils.
"We have been named local authority of the year so I feel I'm leaving the council at a good time and when it's in a really good place."
Beverley, aged 26, said: "I am so pleased to have been selected as the candidate for Ettingshall, I have big boots to fill as Councillor Johnson retires as he has done a fantastic job for the ward and the city.
"But, I am extremely committed to the ward and will work very hard for the people of Ettingshall and Wolverhampton."
