Wolverhampton Council, Wolverhampton Racecourse and Signal 107 are gearing up for the event, which attracts hundreds of families, on Saturday, November 4.

As well as a breathtaking firework display thrill-seekers can enjoy fairground rides, there will be stilt-walkers, entertainment for children and lots of food stalls and bars.

Wolverhampton Mayor, Councillor Elias Mattu, will officially light the bonfire at 7.30pm, after the children’s firework display at 6.30pm.

Gates open at 5pm and the main event kicks off at 8.30pm when fireworks will light up the night sky.

Councillor John Reynolds, cabinet member for city economy, said: “We are delighted to work with the racecourse again this year.

“It’s a great place to really take in the amazing firework display as well as enjoy all the other entertainment lined up.”

Advance tickets cost £5 adults and £3 children. On-the-gate tickets are £6 adults and £4 children.

Alternatively, the racecourse is offering a new ‘stay warm’ package involving admission, a first-floor view from shared hospitality boxes, dedicated bar, toilets, a pork bap and a drink for £15.50 per person.

Tickets are available from www.wolvescivic.co.uk, www.wolverhampton-racecourse.co.uk, the box office in Wolverhampton Art Gallery or the Holiday Inn reception at the racecourse.
