Signed Wolves shirt to be sold for Promise Dreams charity
A Wolves shirt signed by the team which took the club into the Premier League for the first time is being sold to raise money for terminally ill youngsters.
For fans old enough to remember, the 2003 play-off final victory will forever be one of their most treasured memories.
The team led by Dave Jones were 3-0 up against Sheffield United by half-time with goalkeeper Matt Murray saving a penalty in the second.
Fundraiser Mandy Catchpole was fortunate enough to receive a shirt signed by all eleven players who started the match at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.
Now she is inviting bids for the shirt with the money to be given to Wolverhampton-based Promise Dreams.
Mandy, from Wolverhampton, said: "It was Matt Murray who sorted out the shirt for me. There are some great names on there like Joleon Lescott and Denis Irwin.
"There should be someone out there who will find it fascinating."
