Wolverhampton in a different light

These nightscape photographs of Wolverhampton certainly show the city in a different light.

Queen Square

The historic Queen Square takes on an uber-cool look in this shot, above, captured by photographer Daniel Graves.

With the Man on the Oss in the centre of the frame – the square is wrapped in glowing lights as traffic flies by caught in a blur by the former University of Wolverhampton graduate.

He said: “Wolverhampton is a really photogenic city, which I think a lot of people might be surprised to hear but it’s true.

“For these shots I had to use a 20 second exposure with the camera on a steady tripod to get the blurred lighting effect.”

Another photograph in the atmospheric collection shows the University of Wolverhampton glowing in the dark with a dramatic sky looming overhead.

The pictures are to be used by the University as part of brochures to promote the city to prospective students looking to enrol for the new term.
