Smart car smashes through railings in Wolverhampton ring road crash

A Smart car careered through railings and onto a pavement leaving rush hour problems for drivers.

The white car crashed on St. John's Ring Road, near to the retail park, in Wolverhampton around 8am yesterday.

The car had its front bumper ripped off in the crash and was left with its two front wheels off the ground as it was stuck on the railings. The car also lost one of its headlights as debris was scattered around the pavement.

West Midlands Police attended the scene but disruption for drivers was kept to a minimum as traffic was able to flow around the crash.

A mechanic was also called.
