The plan for 51 homes on the site of former W.H. Marren is set to be given the green light when it comes before planning bosses this week.

Tatton Hall Homes Ltd has applied for the homes on the site in Temple Bar, Willenhall.

Walsall Council's planning officers have recommended that the application is granted permission when it goes before the committee on Thursday.

A development of 33 houses and 18 apartments will be built if the plan is approved.

The site is currently vacant following the demise of W.H. Marren which operated a metal reclamation yard from the site for more than a century.

Demolition of the storage units and office buildings has started following approval from Walsall Council.
