The RSPCA is appealing for information after a cat was thrown out of a car

The poor feline was thrown from the car in Pooles Lane, Willenhall, and had to be put down by a vet to prevent further suffering.

Now the RSPCA has launched an appeal for information into the shocking incident just after noon on July 5.

The female ginger and white cat – thought to be around 10 – was put to sleep by a vet.

RSPCA inspector Rob Crutchley said: “The member of the public was shocked to witness this incident.

"The cat was literally thrown out of the window of a moving car, and as a result was collapsed on the road.

“She deteriorated at the vets, and sadly was put to sleep.

“Unfortunately we don’t have a registration number or make for the car, however the woman who saw this said it was a small red car.

“The cat wasn’t microchipped or wearing a collar so we don’t know where she came from.

"We are urging anyone who has any information or who saw the incident to contact us in complete confidence on 0300 123 8018.”
