Walsall Council’s planning committee rubber stamped the plans in 2018 at Sunnyside Farm in Walsall Wood, after agreeing that the plans would improve the area.
The development will be made up of 18 affordable dwellings and 45 private dwellings with car parking.
Developers Silverlane Greengage Ltd submitted the plans back in July 2017.
The affordable houses will be made up of 10 one-bedroom apartments, six two-bedroom apartments and a pair of four-bed semi-detached houses.
The commercial units were set to be demolished to make way for the new houses and the open space.
