The festive period is finally upon us and families up and down the country are gearing up for what will surely be another fun-filled few weeks as loved-ones take a step away from the every-day to celebrate the UK's busiest time of the year.

And while most will be just starting to get their decorations together, be planning diary dates for family meet-ups and signing off on Christmas lists, it's important to know those key dates when communities get together as one to enjoy each others company before the more intimate meals begin.

The Black Country - like every year - is littered with switch-ons to be enjoyed, and, as some have been announced, we thought best to put you in the know of where and when the lights will start to sparkle.
