Police called to Walsall park after 999 calls over 'hammer attack'

Police said that no victims or suspects were found at the scene of the reported hammer attack.

Residents say the attack happened inside of Palfrey Park

West Midlands Police rushed to a report of a hammer attack in the Palfrey Park area of Walsall yesterday.

The suspected attack took place on Dale Street, Walsall, adjacent to Palfrey Park, with members of the public claiming that the incident took place next to the park.

In a statement, released by West Midlands Police, they said: "We were called to Dale Street, Walsall after reports of a person being threatened with a hammer.
