The National Express West Midlands number 10 bus collided in Lichfield Road with a car which had pulled out from Coppice Road on Saturday night.

The bus had been travelling down the top of Walsall Wood High Street.

Rob Millward, who was at the scene, said a woman was reportedly being treated on the bus, the female driver of the car was looked after by paramedics and a baby was being checked over.

A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said medics were called to reports of a crash on Lichfield Road at 7.40pm. Three ambulances and a paramedic officer attended the scene.

"On arrival we discovered four patients in total with an off-duty nurse having stopped at the scene to assist," the spokesman said.

"Three of the patients were discharged at the scene but following treatment for minor injuries, we did transport a toddler to Walsall Manor Hospital as a precaution."
