Applicant Mo Rahman has put forward proposals for the old Beauty House property, next to the County Hotel, on Birmingham Road.

If the application, currently being considered by Walsall Council planning officers, is successful the nursery will cater for children aged from a month to four years old, with a capacity of 35 in total.

It will also create jobs for four full time carers and two part time carers, opening from 7am and 6pm.

Mr Rahman also said children and families will come at different times during the day and a number of car parking spaces will be provided on site

In the application, he said: “Children will be no more than 35 in total with four full time and two part time carers. They will be provided with toys inside the building and swings, roundabout, slide and sand pit etc.

“All children will be supervised at all times inside and outside. All exit gates will be closed and locked when children are playing outside.

“(The) ground floor rooms will be split into different rooms for children of different ages and the same  to the first floor.

“The front drive way is made up from block paving and to the which there is parking for four staff cars.

“There will be car parking for eight cars which includes two disabled parking, cycle stand and motor cycle stand.

“When cars enter there will be only one entry and one exit. All cars leaving the site will have to turn left only and there will be no right turn onto Birmingham Road as to stop or slow traffic.”

A decision on the proposal is expected to be made next month.
