Walsall-mad Pete Mason has previously created pieces of art focusing on world leaders Barack Obama and Nelson Mandela, entertainers such as David Bowie, Bob Dylan, Michael Jackson and Cilla Black and local heroes such as the late Wolves vice-president Baroness Rachael Heyhoe Flint.

Now he has put together the Walsall Football Club logo out of stamps, which he plans to give to the club to wish them good luck ahead of the new season.

Mr Mason, from Hednesford, said: “My son and grandson, Robert and JJ, will be taking it to Walsall.

“We thought it would be a good idea for my son and grandson to take it so it can be displayed.

“I’ve been a Walsall supporter for more than 50 years and at some stage I started taking my son and his son now supports Walsall too, even though they live in Derby now.”
