The tips at Merchants Way, Aldridge, and Fryers Road in Bloxwich reopened on May 16 with restrictions in place.

Now they will be open for the full week – with the rules eased to allow pedestrians to also access the site from August 1.

Barriers and fencing will be removed to allow additional parking bays, with people allowed to move around the site to access skips and containers.

Councillor Oliver Butler, portfolio holder for clean and green at Walsall Council, said: "I am really pleased that we will once again be able to provide a full range of services seven days a week at both of our Household Waste Recycling Centres from August 1.

"I must be clear though that this will be a ‘new’ normal. The war against Covid-19 has not been won and we must all take self-responsibility for our own safety and that of others. "
