Investigation after body found in Walsall canal
A man's body was found in a canal as police cordoned off the waterway and nearby road.
Police say the death of the 64-year-old is not being treated as suspicious at this stage.
The body was found in the canal at Reservoir Place, in Alumwell, Walsall, this morning.
West Midlands Police say officers were called to the scene at around 6.40am.
"A 64-year-old man was sadly found deceased. His family have been informed," a spokeswoman said.
She confirmed his death his not being treated as suspicious.
