The first Walsall Wood Toy and Train Collectors Fair of the new year is being held on Sunday. It started life in 1991 and five fairs are held every year.

Organisers, Geoff and Linda Price who run Transtar Promotions, are the couple behind the event, which is popular with collectors from around the country.

There will be more than 80 tables selling toy cars, trains, action figures and even Lego all laid out at Oak Park Active Living Centre.

Visitors are also invited to bring along their own unwanted toys to sell to the on-site buyers for an opportunity to take home some extra cash.

The couple, from Walsall, have been invested in toys for more than 45 years since they met in 1970.

And Geoff is proudly in the Guinness Book of World Records for boasting the largest collection of model buses, which totals more than 14,000 pieces.

The fair has been held at Oak Park since it started in the old leisure centre's small hall and has now moved to the larger sports hall to accommodate the guests, stallholders and collectors.

The event in Coppice Road runs from 10.30am to 3pm.
