Boy, 8, in serious condition after being knocked off bike in Walsall

An eight-year-old boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being knocked off his bike by a car in Walsall.

The crash happened in Churchill Road

The youngster was hit by a silver Micra just after 4.30pm on Friday in Churchill Road.

He was taken to hospital with injuries to his chest, head and leg. His condition is said to be serious but stable.

The driver of the car remained at the scene, and a police enquiry is on-going.
